Holiday Drive

Support our Senior Housing Options residents at a critical time of year!

For many of us, the holiday season means enjoying the warmth and coziness of one’s own home. However, we can often overlook how important clean clothes, clean sheets, and dry socks can be in building this simple comfort. SHO accepts in-kind donations year-round, but around the holidays we have a special “Drive” to be sure our residents have the necessities to get through a cold Colorado winter.

In Denver, our residents at the Barth Hotel and Park Hill Assisted Living communities, the Olin Hotel Apartments, the Emerson Gardens Apartments, the Decatur House Apartments, and the September House Apartments each have personal needs for clothing, toiletries, hats/scarves/gloves, and even blankets/sheets or towels. Neighbors in the Lower Downtown (LoDo) area have stepped up to assist our Barth Hotel residents in particular. Each holiday season, the LoDo Cares Committee likes to give back to neighbors in need at The Barth Hotel, and we hope you’ll join us in this holiday tradition to provide clean, safe, warm and convenient resources that many of us take for granted.

In addition, each year the LoDo Cares Committee supports the Barth by raising money to purchase items that are in need of updating, such as new washer/dryers, or a new kitchen dishwasher. These additions help SHO in keeping the Barth affordable, efficient, and a nice home for our residents.

Details of the Drive are posted here seasonally.
