Fundraising: 

It’s not easy to raise money for charitable organizations.  So many have special events—dinners, golf tournaments, walk-a-thons and the like.  But none of these seem just right for Senior Housing Options.  About 20 years ago when The Barth Hotel needed a cooling system, a play, Hot l Baltimore was performed in the lobby—SHO’s first environmental theatre experience.  Four years ago, we reprised Hot l to see if it might raise funds again.  Success.  So summer theatre at The Barth was born.  Four plays have graced the lobby of The Barth as it becomes a stage for performances.  Local actors lend their talents and funds are raised for a variety of needs.  As John Moore, Denver Post Theater Critic noted, “Overall revenue from the plays comes not only from ticket sales, but also corporate sponsors and foundation support, all contributing to the combination of a solid business plan, a good cause and top-notch art.” 

Residence Events: 

Events are the norm at our residences.  National Assisted Living Week, special celebrations, tea parties, special guests—there’s always something happening!  Visit each residence page for a rundown.
