Senior Housing Options Selects Jim Goddard as New Executive Director
Denver, CO (Feb 13, 2017):
The Board of Directors of Senior Housing Options (SHO) is pleased to announce the appointment of James (Jim) Goddard as its new Executive Director. Jim replaces long-time leader Teri Whelan, who retired in 2016.
The Board worked with search firm Kittleman & Associates to conduct a nation-wide search and was pleased to find our selected candidate right here in Denver, where our headquarters is located. Well-known across the state for providing quality affordable housing and services in a caring environment for older adults, SHO is a nonprofit organization that has served tens of thousands of residents over our 38 years of operations.
“We are extremely pleased that Jim is joining our organization. The need for affordable housing has never been greater and as we prepare for the next phase of our growth, we welcome the experience and energy that Jim will be bringing to our organization”, noted Laura Hahn, Board Chair of Senior Housing Options.
Mr. Goddard brings a wealth of expertise to the organization through his accomplished career, both professionally and as an avid volunteer. Jim has served as CEO of 9Health Fair for the last ten years, and previously as CEO of the Arthritis Foundation, Rocky Mountain Chapter. His career has shown a commitment to both health and wellness in the community and working collaboratively with a variety of partners and volunteers across the state. Jim’s leadership, fundraising and management experience is unparalleled.
We are thrilled he will now be turning his attention to helping low-income seniors and persons with disabilities in need of safe, affordable housing.
“Joining SHO at this time is exactly the opportunity I was looking for”, commented Mr. Goddard. “Working with the Board and with communities across the state, I welcome the opportunity to build on their rich past and move the organization into the future.”
