Kremmling-The Way Colorado Used to Be
The Way Colorado Used to Be
If you’re on the hunt for real Colorado adventure, look no further than Kremmling – a western wilderness filled with breathtaking scenery, roaring rapids, and inviting expanses of unspoiled terrain where the wild life vastly outnumbers the human population. Not to mention miles of ATV and OHV trails that make Kremmling the “Motorsport Capital of Grand County.”
Kremmling is also known as a “Sportsman’s Paradise” for good reason. The Kremmling region has some of the best elk hunting in Colorado with awe-inspiring backdrop. The Colorado River and the Blue River offer Gold Medal water for you to dip your line into and also offer the ideal rapids to set out on riverrafting or kayaking adventure. During the winter, Kremmling boosts exceptional ice fishing on Wolfordand Williams Fork Reservoirs. Hiking, biking, horseback riding, camping, boating, snowshoeing and snowmobiling can also be done in Kremmling.
Kremmling scenery is not only stunning but of geological importance. Fossil Ridge is just miles from Kremmling and has fossils of long gone ammonites that can be found among the rocks. The Colorado Scenic Byway cuts through Kremmling and continues over the scenic Trough Road to State Bridge. Don’t forget to stop at Inspiration Point to see the spectacular views of Gore Canyon.
