Ways to Help

Engaging our volunteers enhances the lives of our residents
and makes our organization more efficient!

Senior Housing Options, Inc. (SHO) is a charitable organization that serves low and moderate income elderly and adults with physical and mental disabilities. We currently own and/or manage both assisted living and affordable apartment living units for over 370 residents including properties in Cortez, Denver, Longmont, and Parachute. SHO generates its own revenues to the extent possible and manages resources well, but still there are unmet needs that require us to ask for help from individuals, businesses, and foundations to assure high quality care for all residents.

Donations

Your donations help nearly 370 low/moderate income seniors and physically and mentally disabled adults, residents who are glad to be at our nine residences. You will support an extremely well-managed organization where the priority is residents—95 % of all expenses go to program services!

Volunteer Opportunities

Many of our residents have limited contact with family and often lose friendships within the community. If you’d like to be a regular visitor or companion to one of our residents or bring a talent to any of our residences, just let us know what you are looking for and we will find a match.

Colorado Gives

Presented by Community First Foundation and FirstBank, Colorado Gives Day asks you to give to your favorite charities through their website. And when you give online at ColoradoGives.org the value of your donation will be increased by the million-dollar Community First Foundation/FirstBank Incentive Fund.

Blurred Holiday Lights

Holiday Drive

For many of us, the holiday season means enjoying the warmth and coziness of one’s own home. However, we can often overlook how important good coats, scarves, hats, gloves, and socks can be in building this simple comfort. SHO accepts in-kind donations year-round, but around the holidays we have a special “Drive” to be sure our residents have the necessities to get through a cold Colorado winter.

Thank You to Our Partners
