As SHO’s new Executive Director, Jim leads the staff team and works directly with the Board to deliver the mission, and facilitates planning toward new opportunities for the organization. With over 30 years of senior-level leadership experience in health care, informal education, and project management, Jim brings in-depth understanding of, and broad connections within, the non-profit sector in Colorado.
His experience includes partnering with hundreds of organizations to expand health screening for people of all ages across the state, delivery of programs and support of research to help manage and prevent arthritis, engagement of the public in science and health education programs and presentations, guiding the building of a new hospital facility, and management of direct delivery of healthcare.
Jim is an avid outdoorsman, photographer and exercise enthusiast. He volunteers to support local youth education as well as international health education through his Rotary club. He is an amateur Olympic Games historian and collector, and he loves spending time with his family and his Golden Retriever.
